Cash Advance, Payday Advance, Payday LoansWell, here's some good news for a change.  Summer days are moving along quickly and already retailers are looking to consumers for a back-to-school buying rush.  Lots of budget-wise consumers start to take advantage of great deals on loads of items starting in July.  That's when it's time to snap up a deal on computers, outdoor furniture, mattresses, big appliances, furniture, jewelry, paint, and more. There's bound to be sales that are worth checking out starting right now.  It's a good time for frugal consumers to get a head start on their buying power.

Just as lower-price offerings and good deals are beginning to heat up, the 2012 Florida's Sales Tax Holiday will soon be off to a roaring start. For the consumer, that means that there is a ton of merchandise that can be purchased without having to pay any sales tax.  Imagine being able to save even more by cashing in on a Sales Tax Holiday. Knock off the usual Florida sales tax, and you can even get more bargains because you'll have more cash to spend.  So start preparing for the 2012 Sales Tax Holiday - a 3-day holiday that is in effect from 12:01 AM on Friday, August 3, 2012 through 11:59 PM on Sunday, August 5, 2012.  Set your watches now and put a reminder on your iphones.  This deal is too good to miss.

So what's the deal? Florida law states that no sales tax will be collected on sales of clothing, footwear, and certain accessories selling for $75.00 of less per item, or on certain school supplies selling for $15.00 or less per item.   The sales tax exemption applies to each eligible item of clothing selling for $75.00 or less and to each eligible school supply item selling for $15.00 or less. The exemption will apply no matter how many items are sold on the same invoice to a customer.

Just get a heads up on how the sales tax exemption works and you're in for the thrill of the hunt. With three days to land every deal you find.  The first thing is to make sure you have enough cash to get those bargains. Get prepared now with the extra cash you need to stock up.  The economic downturn has not helped consumers to use the buying power they once had.  But there are still options out there that can turn bad times into good times.  And this is one of them.  If you find yourself a bit lean on the green stuff, you might want to consider upping your buying power by filling your pockets with up to $500.00 worth of cash from a payday cash loan. You'll have the cash you need with a short term unsecured loan that will be direct deposited to your checking account. Get in the action by using cash in advance of your next paycheck to snap up those great money-savers, and then pay back your borrowed funds on your next pay date.

Here are just a few "Let's say"examples of how the 3-day tax exemption holiday can work for you:

  • Let's say that a pair of shoes normally sells for $80. The pair of shoes cannot be split up in order to sell each shoe for $40 to qualify for the exemption.
  • Let's say that a retailer advertises pants as "buy one, get one free", and the first pair of pants is priced at $80.00' the second pair of pants is free. Tax is due on $80.00. The store cannot sell each pair of pants for $40.00 in order for the items to qualify for the exemption. But here's the hitch. The retailer may advertise and sell the items for 50% off, selling each pair of $80.00 pants for $40.00, making each pair eligible for the sales tax exemption.
  • Let's say that you have a Gift Certificate. Eligible items purchased during the tax exemption period using a gift certificate will qualify for the exemption regardless of when the certificate was purchased. But a gift certificate cannot be used to reduce the selling price of an item of clothing to $75 or less, or the price of a school supply item to $15 or less, in order for those items to qualify for a tax exemption.
  • Let's say that you have to exchange an item. By making sure the exchange is for the same item, no additional tax will be due. But heads up on this. If you exchange an item purchased during the exemption period and later return it for a store credit for a different item, you will have to pay tax on the full sales price of the newly purchased item.
  • Let's say you order something via the internet.  Tax exempt items purchased by mail order will qualify for the exemption even if the item is shipped at a later date.
  • Let's say you put your purchase on the layaway plan. Tax exempt items will qualify for the exemption even if the final payment is made during or after the exemption period.
  • Let's say you have a store coupon. A store coupon or discount can be used to reduce the sales price of an item of clothing to $75 or less, or a school supply item to $15 or less in order to qualify for an exemption.

Get in the game. There are hundreds of items that are tax exempt. And it's a good way to use a payday loan in a smart way. In these tough times, payday loans make sense to put more go in your cash flow.
